How You Can Help: Wildfire Victims
In efforts to provide assistance to the families affected by the devastating wildfires, we will be collecting various gift cards to places such as Wal-Mart, CVS, Target, etc. during both services on Sunday, September 11th and September 18th. Fortunately, the various organizations already providing support to the wildfire victims are swamped with volunteers and donations. These organizations have suggested offering gift cards to families to assist them in getting the goods they so desperately need. When the purple buckets come around during the next, two Sundays, simply place a gift card inside and it will be delivered to where it is greatly needed. As one evacuee stated, “this sinking, helpless feeling is only assuaged by the kindness of others.”

I was contacted by a few churches up in Bastrop about goods. So Joe Joe Bear foundation is collecting goods and clothing if anyone wants to drop stuff off to us. We already donated 154 bears and about 500 pounds of clothing.

I have tons of clothes that we could donate for the families that have no clothes after they lost everything in the fire. Will Jo-Jo Bear be collecting this at Westgreen church ?

Hi all!
For now, Westgreen is simply collecting gift cards (from such places as mentioned above). These gift cards will then be dropped off to various sister churches we have in the affected areas; the sister churches will be able to get the gift cards exactly where they need to be. Because families need assistance as soon as possible and donations are taking a long time to sort through, the gift cards allow families to get exactly what they need. It is absolutely wonderful to see all of the cards coming in! Thanks!
at my home for now. We are partnerign up with Bellhaven University for collections also. 3630 Slocom Dr katy tx 77449 thank you. They also need house hold goods. If you look around your home at everything you have that is what they need. Thanks!
